Contributing to a connected and sustainable European transport network
Scandria Alliance members are aliging their strategy and contributing to the implementation and future shape of European Transport Policy
While finalising an internal strategy to increase relevance and efficiency of their collaboration, Scandria Alliance members contributed to public consultations on the EU’s next multiannual financial framework (MFF). In line with an open letter supported by the Scandria Alliance earlier this year, Alliance members highlight the need for a solid dedicated European transport funding instrument under the future EU budget. Furthermore, they are calling for the proven decentralised and place-based approach to be continued in cohesion policy to make sure local and regional needs are addressed. The next milestone is our General Assembly, which will take place in Brussels on 25 June 2025. The agenda includes the launch of Alliance's new strategy, the election of a new chairperson and a high-level policy dialogue between European, national and regional decision makers about future financing needs for a robust and sustainable European transport network.
