Greater Rostock Region is Eastern Germany‘s gateway to the Baltic Sea and the world. Rich of wind and solar power, the region is heading towards carbon-neutrality with projects such as the energy port of Rostock or the purchase of Germany‘s second largest fleet of hydrogen-powered busses. In their HRS spatial development concept, the Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labor Mecklenburg-Vorpommern also took a look to neighbouring Berlin-Brandenburg region.
