The Logistics Initiative Hamburg is currently implementing two Interreg North Sea Region projects looking into innovative inland water transport and integrated urban logistics.
InnoWaTr project – The beer arrives by boat
In Hamburg, Logistics Initiative Hamburg and further stakeholders have started their pilot on last mile deliveries by electric vessel. On the Alster lake, distribution of bevereges to bars, rowing clubs and restaurants is being tested as a sustainable and future-proof alternative to truck deliveries, also providing benefits to modal shift, safety and quality of living.

MoLo Hubs project – integrating urban logistics, shared mobility & circularity approaches
In the user-centric mobility and logistics hubs project, in short MoLo Hubs, a major milestone was reached in this fall. With the City of Boras, a middle-sized city east of Gothenburg, and e-trade and textile hub, the 5th of five pilots was launched in the project led by Scandria Alliance member Logistics Initiative Hamburg. The project tests integrated solutions of logistics & return flow services into shared mobility hubs.
