Connecting People. Connecting Regions. Connecting Europe: Wider benefits of cross-border transport infrastructure

You are invited to join a high-level seminar during the 2026 General Assembly of the Scandria Alliance hosted by the Committee of Regions in Brussels.

about the event

Climate and demographic change as well as the geopolitical situation require new approaches to planning and investing into Europe’s future transport infrastructure.

How can future transport infrastructure be planned to simultaneously promote regional development, resilience, and security? How can the wider benefits of cross-border transport infrastructure be assessed? What lessons can be drawn from previous large-scale cross-border transport infrastructure projects?

Facilitated by expert interventions and a high-level panel discussion, these questions are at the core of the Scandria Alliance Seminar organised back-to-back to the Connecting Europe Days 2026 in the premises of the European Committee of Regions.
