Reactivation of disued railway lines: challenges and opportunities

In this Scandria Alliance Talk, we will discuss how reactivating disused railway lines can foster sustainable spatial development, climate-smart mobility and infrastructure resilience.

Why you should join this talk

Several member regions of the Scandria Alliance are actively working on reactivating currently disused railway lines for regional train services. This is vital for sustainable spatial development, climate-smart mobility and infrastructure resilience in times of crisis. But the implementation of such reactivation projects is often hampered by regulatory, financial, and organisational obstacles.

Join this Scandria Alliance Talk to learn more about the current status of reactivation projects in the German Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg and in Southwest Finland and to discuss how reactivation projects can be succesfully integrated into broader spatial and transport planning.
